Rosalie Aleksandra Anter created the print of La Trigresse Sarong for our new sarong collection the Garden of Eden. Her art and her visual world has been a big inspiration for us since we came across to her work few years ago and finally we had the chance to collaborate with her this year.

Rosalie Aleksandra Anter Rosalie Aleksandra Anter created the print of La Trigresse Sarong for our new sarong collection the Garden of Eden. Her art and her visual world has been a big inspiration for us since we came across to her work few years ago and finally we had the chance to collaborate with her this year. La Tigresse Sarong Rosalie Aleksandra Anter was born in İstanbul, Turkey. She went to high school in Florida which is when she began her search for identity and finding her place amongst others. Assimilating into a new culture and seeing the importance of individulastic expression deepened her creative field. For undergraduate studies, she attended The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA. She studied interdisciplinary fine arts, dabbled in many studies such as jewelry-making, sculpture, installation and drawing. In that period Rosalie was mostly interested in playful, interactive pieces that blurred the line between artist and viewer. In the process of making this piece I was thinking about resilience and the transformations we go through as we experience the powerful waves of life. The figures based on the form of butterflies which house elements of womanhood, nature, and animals were depicted to convey the feelings of rebellion, passion, inner strength, and the dedication to hope. This piece honors human evolution that is carried with courage and tenderness. In hopes of finding freedom in wholeness and compassion for oursevelves." - Rosalie Aleksandra Anter
